For me, and many others, the bulk of richer understanding comes about through dreams and meditation. Interpreting dreams is really essential to understanding ourselves and the direction in which we are going in life. Understanding and interpreting prophetic dreams could be the key to understanding our future.
Those of us who derive knowing from dreams, meditations, and visions must be vigilant in educating ourselves in the way of discernment. Why? Because higher data is packaged in our dreams and visions. Our interpretations of this data depend upon our ability to expand our views beyond ground-zero, beyond mundane, beyond the scope of the banal self. When it comes to interpreting prophetic dreams, we move outside of the insular comfort zones and look into future possibilities.
What is A Prophetic Dream?
A prophetic dream is simply a dream in which you catch a glimpse of the future. It’s kinda like déjà vu, but during sleep time dreams. If you’re prone to future-revealing dreams, then you probably already understand how interpreting prophetic dreams is so important.
For instance, if you have an unsettling dream, and have a sense it might reveal some kind of future event – interpreting that dream could bring about solid solutions. Dream interpretation for prophetic dreams may also provide answers about how we can respond or react to future events more mindfully.
How Do You Know It’s a Future-Seeing Dream?
In a way, all dreams can be predictive. I mean, all dreams are about ourselves, our lives, and how we process the information on a deep subconscious level. So, in some respects, our dreams are telling the story of our lives – past, present, and future.
But true future-seeing dreams typically have a few common threads and have certain elements to them. Here are some common denominators & aspects most predictive dreams possess
Prophetic Dreams Share Common Threads Such As…
- They will be intensely visual and vivid. Prophetic dreams will feel like we are experiencing the scene in actual, real-time reality.
- Prophetic dreams may reference and/or address global concerns.
- These dreams usually reveal themselves as a parable – a narrative with a moral…like a story-telling dream
- They often involve people we have known in the past, present or future.
What’s important to know is that those of us whose main source of information comes from ephemeral channels learn the flavor of their dreams, and can identify a prophetic one by the feel of it.
Why Should We Interpret These Dreams?
So what? What’s the purpose of a prophetic dream, and why should we be so diligent in discerning its meaning?
First, the gold of a prophetic dream is found in the deftness and accuracy of the translation. This depends upon how much investment the dreamer has made in knowing his or herself, and how much education has been devoted to the study of esoteric/soulful/symbolic languages.
Second, once interpreted, the dreamer must have the evolutional constitution to know what to do with the prophecy. Announcing a prophecy to the public isn’t always advisable. It depends upon the dream, and with whom you are sharing the dream. Even if the dreamer is a true prophet, it’s integral to recognize the consequences of divulging certain information to the mainstream public.
Tips to Interpreting Predictive Dreams
So what’s a prophet to do with his/her predictive dream?
Retrace the steps to prime, energetic philosophy which says change first comes from within. A fire is hottest within the center, and by its nature, spreads outward from its core.
What I’m saying is, put your prophecy smack-center within the flame of your soul. Hold it, continue to contemplate it (more meanings will unfold as you do), nurture it, and keep the vision pristine in your energy. Doing this will activate the battery (you) and thus charge up your environment.
You are the catalyst, and changing the environment rarely happens by verbal communication. It comes from presence. And having presence causes energetic morphing which causes waves of change in your environment.
So keep the prophecy alive from within, and you will see its life unfold without.
What If Your Prophecy Dream Is Frightening?
I hear questions: ‘What about an apocalyptic prophecy or destructive predictions?’ -or- ‘What if my prophetic dream is rife with horror?
To these questions, I say this: The banal self (or the shallow or menial self) interprets disaster as endings. The base self is very negative and has a defeatist mentality – which makes interpreting prophetic dreams potentially frightening.
Nevertheless, the expanded self interprets progress and continuity in prophetic dreams. The evolved, enlightened self has a wholly different interpretation than that banal, surface self. The expanded self cannot see crippling events – even in the most hostile-seeming dreams because the expanded self moves from a knowing place that all events sustain continuity.
Most importantly, the expanded self acknowledges (in all things) an energetic set-point of love, unity, and harmony. This is why a holistic interpretation of prophetic dreams is essential.
Last Words on Interpreting Prophetic Dreams
In conclusion, I hope you found these insights about interpreting these types of dreams is helpful. Please bear in mind that no matter how unsettling or even frightening a predictive dream may seem, you should know that you have control.
At the end of the day, dreams are an inner reflection of our deeper selves. Fighting or being frightened by our dreams (of any kind) would be akin to being frightened of ourselves. And, if we are the expanded being we strive to be – then being afraid of ourselves (or our dreams) isn’t a possibility. If you liked this, you may also like my article on AstroDreaming here.
